Week 7: Cel Painting

Today, we are going to learn how to paint an animation cel.

What is an animation cel?

Well, back before we had personal computers, animators used to paint individual celluloids and then shoot then one by one. Here the the result. 

Here is what you will need:

Step 1:
Draw you character on paper.

Step 2:
Place your overhead projection sheet over you drawing and trace it with a pen or marker.

Step 3:
Flip your sheet over and the paint inside the lines. Allow to dry.

Step 4:
Flip the sheet back over and be amazed!
